Common Questions

What happens in the first therapeutic session?
Our first session, begins the therapeutic assessment. It is a chance for you to get familiar with the therapy process, ask any questions you may have, and to discuss your goals for therapy.

How long and how frequent are sessions?
The three step assessment process requires about 5 hours of 3 in- office sessions. It also requires some paperwork time at home. Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, once a week. Some people find extended or more frequent sessions to be helpful.

What can I expect from being in therapy?
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you are starting up again, personal growth can be challenging and rewarding. You can expect the best outcome when you feel trust in the therapeutic relationship, feel understood, openly express yourself, and apply what we talk about in your life.
